Job summary

EMERALD PROJECT PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a senior civil/structural engineer to execute design calculations and review drawings in line with codes and client specs for buildings and infrastructures.

You will collaborate with the Qualified Person, prepare tender requirements, coordinate with authorities and clients, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring projects meet timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in civil & structural engineering design work.
• Conversant with latest design codes and authority requirements.
• Competency on design software such as ETABS, STAAD, PROKON, SAFE.
• Good attitude towards work and timelines.
• Able to work independently to support the Qualified Person.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the execution of civil and structural design involving calculations and review of drawings per customer specs and applicable codes.
• Assist in producing tender specifications and design requirements for calling tender contracts.
• Undertake detailed design of buildings and civil infrastructures.
• Work with Qualified Person (QP) to develop design scheme for civil and structural works.
• Attend project/technical meetings with authorities, developers and contractors.
• Involve in project planning, implementation and close monitoring of projects.
• Project coordination including submission to local authorities and liaison during construction.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and authorities on technical matters.
• Train and support junior engineers.
