Job summary

Amazon.com is seeking a capable Project Manager to lead on-site design and construction for global data center infrastructure in Singapore. You will coordinate civil design, utilities, earthworks, and collaborate with internal and external engineers to keep schedules and budgets on track.

The role is full-time, on-site in Singapore, requiring 6+ years PM experience and a Bachelor's in a related field. Expect up to 25% travel for site assessments and workshops.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project management or project lead experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Structural, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with RFQ/RFP processes and coordinating multiple consultant teams.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.
• Develop and maintain design standards, design prototypes, and template specifications related to site design.
• Review Due Diligence assessments to determine site constraints, risks and develop investigation scopes.
• Create, review, and release design consultant request for proposals.
• Manage our external civil design consultants through the design and construction process.
• Develop and review designs for grading, storm water, flood mitigation, utilities, and pavements.
• Deep understanding of interdependent civil design elements to develop optimised earthworks and utilities designs and minimise the construction schedule.
• Lead our internal modelling and documentation resources.
• Coordinate with internal and external Architecture, Structure and MEP design engineers.
• Effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
• Manage multiple fast paced projects simultaneously.
• Think outside of the box to find innovative solutions prior to and during the construction process to reduce costs without negative impacts on quality or reliability.
• Travel for site assessments, internal design meetings, construction review, and interfacing with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Anticipated travel is approximately 25%.
