Job summary

Jumbo Group of Restaurants in Singapore is seeking a Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to oversee daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the group’s standards and cost controls are in place.

You will lead a team, develop new Chinese dishes, conduct regular checks, and ensure HACCP and 5S compliance. Excellent leadership, time management, and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Chinese cuisine.
• Experience in managing staff and leading a kitchen.
• Specialize in Chinese cuisine with knowledge of nutritional cooking.
• Excellent time management and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure dishes meet standards.
• Maintain HACCP & 5S compliance across the kitchen.
• Monitor and control labour through scheduling and leave monitoring.
• Develop new dishes to diversify the menu and maintain quality.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is functional and arrange repairs when needed.
• Provide guidance to team to foster a positive work environment.
