Job summary

Building System & Diagnostics Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a CFD Engineer to perform building performance simulations using CFD tools like Star-CCM+ or OpenFOAM for natural ventilation, wind-driven rain, HVAC, and pollutant dispersion.

You will build 3D models, set up simulations, post-process results, and prepare technical reports for client presentations, working closely with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Building Science or equivalent.
• Good understanding of building physics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer and engineering principles.
• At least 2 years’ experience with commercial CFD software (Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM or equivalent).
• Prefer to have a good skill in excel and report writing & preparation.
• Good communication skills and able to lead presentations.
• Team player and willing to learn new things together.
• Candidates with prior relevant experience will be considered for a senior position.

Responsibilities

• To use Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software in building performance simulation for applications such as natural ventilation, wind-driven rain, air conditioning, mechanical ventilation and air pollutant dispersion modelling etc.
• To prepare 3D model, simulation set-up as well as post-process as part of the CFD analysis process.
• To liaise with clients to understand simulation requirements and deliverables.
• To perform technical research, gather information and develop appropriate simulation methodology.
• To prepare technical reports for presentation to clients, fellow team members, etc.
