Job summary

Costamare Bulkers Services Pte Ltd is seeking a senior, hands-on analytics professional to own the Capesize freight market view and underlying iron ore and bauxite research. You will leverage SQL and Python to work with large datasets, automate research processes and develop systematic market indicators.

You will drive analytics development, quantify market drivers, and translate research into actionable market views for the team and stakeholders.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in freight, commodity, or shipping analytics.
Strong understanding of dry-bulk freight and seaborne trade.
Experience building market views and analytical models.
Proficiency in SQL and Python with large datasets.

Responsibilities

Own the Capesize freight market view and develop short-, medium-, and long-term outlooks.
Own iron ore and bauxite research, translating supply, demand and seaborne trade fundamentals into cargo and ton-mile demand.
Monitor key freight and commodity-market drivers and indicators to identify changes in market balances and potential turning points.
Develop scenario analysis around key market uncertainties and translate research into clear, independent and actionable market views.
Use SQL and Python to analyse large datasets and develop analytical tools, models and indicators to support market analysis and forecasting.
Automate and improve workflows and analytical capabilities, collaborating with data engineering and across the team to develop an integrated market view.
