Job summary
Veeco Instruments is seeking a Senior Buyer in Singapore to procure materials and services for semiconductor equipment programs. You will manage supplier performance, POs, and material readiness, coordinating with Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.
Ideal candidates have 8+ years in procurement, experience with NPI and production ramps, and strong negotiation skills with SAP and Excel proficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, operations or related field.
- 8+ years in purchasing, procurement, or supply-chain in a complex manufacturing setting.
- Experience with engineered, build-to-print, vacuum or semiconductor equipment parts preferred.
- Experience with NPI procurement, prototypes, and production ramps.
- Global cross-functional collaboration experience.
Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, components, assemblies, and services for Veeco's equipment operations.
- Manage supplier performance, POs, material availability, cost, quality, and delivery.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, terms, MOQs, and other commercial conditions.
- Monitor supplier on-time delivery, quality, and performance; lead corrective actions.
- Maintain purchasing data in SAP and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support NPI procurement, early buys, tooling, and qualification plans.
