Job summary

Veeco, a leading supplier of complex semiconductor equipment, is seeking a Senior Buyer to source materials, components, and services essential to our manufacturing operations. You will partner with Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance to ensure material-readiness, supplier performance, and cost targets are met across global supply chains.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, operations, or related field.
Minimum eight years of purchasing or procurement experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
Experience purchasing engineered/electro-mechanical components for semiconductor equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Execute purchasing activities including RFQ, PO placement, expediting, and closure.
Maintain material availability aligned with MRP and production schedules.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective actions for gaps.
Coordinate supplier onboarding, qualification, and supplier audits for key vendors.
Support NPI procurement including prototyping, tooling, and production ramp readiness.
Ensure procurement data accuracy in ERP systems and maintain supplier records.
