Job summary

QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior Business Analyst/Product Owner to drive product delivery in the Banking or Wealth Management domain. You will gather requirements, manage the backlog, define user stories, and support Agile delivery with cross-functional teams.

You will own backlog priorities, collaborate with developers, QA, and UX/UI to ensure timely feature delivery, coordinate UAT and release activities, and prepare user documentation and training as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Business or related field.
• 10+ years of experience as Product Owner or BA.
• Agile or Scrum certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a Business Analyst to drive product delivery by collaborating with business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering business requirements, managing the product backlog, defining user stories, supporting Agile delivery, and ensuring successful implementation of business solutions within the Banking or Wealth Management domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements from business stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into user stories and define clear acceptance criteria.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog to align with business objectives.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, and UX/UI designers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of product features.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, execution, defect management, and business sign-off.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Support production releases by resolving business queries and coordinating issue resolution.
• Prepare user documentation, conduct product demonstrations, and provide user training where required.
• Drive continuous improvement of product processes and stakeholder engagement.

Required Skills

• Experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, or Business Analyst.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in requirements gathering, backlog management, and user story creation.
• Hands-on experience with Jira or similar Agile project management tools.
• Knowledge of UAT planning, defect management, and release management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with business and technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Banking, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, or Financial Services.
• Knowledge of investment products, trade execution, funds, or private banking.
• Familiarity with Jira, Zephyr, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Agile or Scrum certifications are an advantage.

Experience

• 10+ years of relevant experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role.
