Job summary

HSBC Wealth & Premier solutions seeks a Senior Business Manager - WPS to drive governance, product development and strategic initiatives across front-to-back banking processes in Singapore. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage risks, and ensure delivery on time and within governance standards.

The role requires strong collaboration with product specialists, markets, compliance, operations and risk teams, with a focus on driving business strategy and growth in international markets.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Retail and Private Banking, Investment Banking or Asset Management.
• Strong knowledge of front-to-back processes in banking.
• Deep understanding of investment products across asset classes.
• Familiarity with regulatory regimes and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Experience in product management, process reengineering and project management.
• Strong risk culture and governance awareness.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Business Manager - WPS.

In this role you will:

• Responsible for providing business management support on product development and management. Run governance forums and program steering committees.
• Work closely with product specialists, markets and other support or control functions, including Legal, Compliance, Operations, Risk, Business Risk and Control Manager, Sales Quality Team to deliver on initiatives.
• Analysis of business requirements and regulatory updates, drive business strategy and execution, and active risk monitoring and control execution.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives—translating business strategy into clear scope, milestones, and measurable outcomes; aligning stakeholders across functions, managing risks/dependencies, and ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in line with governance standards.
• Good team leader and demonstrate positive collaborative attitude, promoting HSBC’s values and behaviors (e.g. taking time to help others, respect others’ ideas, wants to move forward)
• Evaluate and determine the appropriate style of communication relevant to the audience - communicate messages in a clear, consistent, and honest manner.
• Maintains team’s personal and professional development, increasing professional knowledge and skills experience.
• Work collaboratively & professionally with all business and functional Stakeholders, internal & external product providers & manufacturers

To be successful you will need:

• Extensive working experience within Retail and Private Banking, Investment Banking or Asset Management with strong understanding of front-to-back processes.
• Strong understanding of investment products and services across multiple asset classes
• Good knowledge in the latest regulatory regime or requirement
• Highly adaptable with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience in product management and control, process reengineering and project management
• Strong sense of compliance and risk culture
