Air Liquide Singapore Private Limited (ALSg) seeks a Senior Business Developer to join the EPSD team, based in Woodlands, to drive growth by identifying new prospects, managing key accounts and delivering technical gas-supply solutions.

You will lead cross-functional proposals, coordinate budgets, and negotiate profitable contracts while collaborating with internal teams to tailor offers and ensure safe, reliable project delivery across Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Science or Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Chemistry preferred).
• At least 5 years of industrial experience in operations, maintenance, project management, procurement, or construction management.
• Background in proposal engineering or technical project management.
• Strong financial acumen to build detailed cost estimates and manage tendering budgets.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to liaise between clients and engineering teams.
• Willingness to travel across Singapore as required.

• Define account-specific strategies and market plans to promote AL solutions and drive growth.
• Serve as the primary technical and commercial contact for complex customer inquiries.
• Coordinate internally to develop competitive technical and economic proposals compliant with standards.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to design mutually beneficial offers tailored to customer needs.
• Support risk assessments, clarify project scopes, and provide technical inputs for safe, reliable solutions.
• Lead commercial negotiations to secure profitable agreements and maintain market position.
• Work with the Business Development Head on tendering budgets and resource allocation.
• Oversee project budgets and ensure profitability by aligning with execution teams.
• Collaborate with onsite operations to anticipate expectations and monitor competitor practices.

The Engineering Project and Solutions Division (EPSD) in Air Liquide is responsible for rendering expertise to design, install and manage gas supply systems, storage infrastructure and gas handling equipment to enhance productivity, product quality and safety in our clients’ operations.

In your role as Senior Business Developer within the EPSD team, you will drive growth by identifying new prospects, managing key accounts, and delivering technical solutions. Based in Woodlands, you will manage customer relationships, provide expert advisory, and collaborate internally to oversee budgets and ensure profitable project delivery.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

• Lead prospecting initiatives to identify new opportunities (30%) and expand business with existing customers (70%) across Singapore.
• Define account-specific strategies and market plans to actively promote selected AL solutions and drive long-term business growth.
• Serve as the primary professional and technical point of contact for complex customer inquiries, providing technical advice.
• Coordinate internally to develop highly competitive technical and economic proposals compliant with industry and company standards.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to design mutually beneficial technical and commercial offers tailored to customer needs.
• Support comprehensive risk assessments, clarify project scopes, and provide critical technical inputs to deliver safe, reliable solutions.
• Lead commercial negotiations with customers to secure profitable agreements and maintain competitive market positioning.
• Partner with the Business Development Head on strategic problem-solving, resource allocation, and tendering budget activities.
• Oversee project budgets and maintain strong profitability for secured contracts by aligning closely with internal execution teams.
• Work closely with onsite operations and project personnel to proactively anticipate customer expectations and analyze competitor practices.

Are you a MATCH?

• Bachelor Degree in Science or Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Chemistry preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial activities (such as operations or maintenance), project management, procurement, or construction management.
• Proven background in proposal engineering, or technical project management.
• Great financial acumen with the ability to build detailed cost estimates, manage tendering budgets, and interpret complex contract terms.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven capability to serve as an effective bridge between clients and engineering teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, build strong rapport with decision-makers, and travel across Singapore as required.
