Job description

Air Liquide Singapore Private Limited (ALSg), the largest and leading industrial gas company in South-east Asia, employs 800 people recognized for their high level of expertise to provide gases, equipment, services and packaged solutions to support the requirements of the Singapore manufacturing industry.

Ensures daily plant reliability, safety, and supply availability by overseeing equipment maintenance schedules, managing OPEX/CAPEX budgets, and enforcing strict safety, quality, and regulatory compliance protocols. The role actively leads root-cause analyses for site incidents, drives continuous improvement through Management of Change (MOC) processes, and supports site personnel training and daily operational handovers.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

• Equipment Maintenance & Reliability: Manage monthly site maintenance schedules, oversee vendor work quality, coordinate shutdown commitments, and maintain work order closures to ensure optimal plant availability.
• Incident Analysis & Risk Mitigation: Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for all site incidents, implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and drive near-miss reporting.
• Safety, Quality & Compliance (MOC & Permit): Enforce Safe Work Permits, Risk Assessments, Management of Change (MOC) protocols, site safety audits, and strict adherence to Integrated Management System (IMS) standards.
• Financial & OPEX/CAPEX Control: Monitor site operational expenditures (OPEX) against budget targets and propose capital expenditure (CAPEX) justifications for plant improvements.
• Training & Team Development: Ensure all site personnel are fully trained and qualified per divisional procedures, while leading daily shift handovers and fostering team alignment.

Are you a MATCH?

• 0-3 years working experience in chemical industry. Experience in cryogenic air separation unit (ASU) and Steam Methane Reformer unit (SMR) operation will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge in process safety risk management tools such as FMEA, HAZOP.
• Strong analytical skills and proactively propose optimisation plan for continuous production process.
• Organised and detail oriented.
• Good team player and strong interpersonnal skills.
• Able to lead a team of operation technicians and coordinate cross departmental activities to deliver result in tight deadline.
• Experience in implementation of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing projects in workplace will be an advantage.
