The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior BIM Manager to lead our digital delivery strategy and oversee and mange BIM implementation across projects and the practice. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring adherence to industry standards, involving working closely with Project Directors and Leads and close multidisciplinary collaboration.
Your Responsibilities
BIM and Digital Tools Leadership and Oversight:
- Develop, implement, and enforce office-wide BIM strategies and project-specific BIM standards, protocols, and workflows
- Create and maintain the project template files to assure consistency and compliance.
- Provide oversight and guidance for electronic file submission and coordinated BIM submissions.
- Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards for all drawings produced.
- Supervise, develop project BIM documentation
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of BIM modellers and specialist(s) to ensure BIM standards are maintained
- Drive and manage office-wide adoption of digital tools and software
BIM Training:
- Conduct project-based BIM basic and intermediate training for staff.
- Provide technical orientation for new staff joining projects.
- Maintain high competency in BIM software through continuous use and training.
- Hold and manage BIM meetings and training sessions for BIM team members.
Project Specific BIM Interface:
- Oversee and lead BIM implementation at all project stages.
- Prepare BIM Execution Plan (BEP) for the projects and ensure on-going compliance and continual improvement.
- Manage processes, implementation, best practices and techniques of BIM.
- Monitor progress of design to ensure alignment with planned schedules.
- Ensure BIM deliverables satisfy tender and project BIM requirements.at all project stages.
- Communicate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure BIM processes, documentation, and model deliverables are met.
- Chair BIM design coordination meetings to resolve design issues and generate clash detection reports at different project stages.
- Oversee and specify BIM for FM requirements for projects where applicable, and review / verify contractor(s) compliance with BIM for FM specifications.
Overview and review all relevant BIM requirements and ensure compliant submissions and implementation - Hold / attend all project related BIM meetings and conferences.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Conduct regular audits and QA/QC checks on BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
- Maintain BIM documentation and delivery plans
Additional Responsibilities:
- Undertake other office-wide and Group wide related duties and ad-hoc tasks as required.
Pre-requisites and Preferred Qualifications
- More than 15 years of relevant experience, with specific experience in BIM management and leadership.
- Diploma or degree in Architecture or equivalent from an accredited institution, with relevant experience in a similar role.
- Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling (BIM) Management or equivalent from an accredited institution, is preferred.
- Trained and proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM software, and other visualization and simulation applications.
- Familiarity with Rhino, Grasshopper, and other visualisation and computational design tools
- Experience in implementing BIM adoption for design and collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of Singapore construction industry regulations (BCA, URA, LTA, etc) and CORENET X submissions.
- Acute knowledge and application of planning and building codes and regulations, regulatory submissions and processes.
- Experience in leading BIM teams for shop drawing production, coordination, and document control.
- Knowledge in construction detailing.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
