BEATHCHAPMAN Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Architect to lead the technical direction of its banking work in Singapore. You will collaborate with client architects and engineering leads, guiding teams onshore and offshore to deliver scalable, secure architectures.

Key responsibilities include designing digital banking and payments platforms, driving cloud-based modernization, and integrating AI with governance. Strong Java and microservices experience is essential.

Qualifications

15+ years in software engineering and architecture, with recent hands-on design work.
Strong Java and microservices background, plus API design and event-driven systems.
Experience with high-volume transaction systems and enterprise databases.
Modern delivery practices: CI/CD, containers, automated and contract-based testing.
Domain knowledge in payments, transaction banking, digital banking or core banking.
Practical view of how to bring AI services into enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

Design and oversee the architecture of banking platforms, including digital, payments and corporate banking.
Guide modernisation of existing applications towards cloud-based, modular designs.
Identify where AI and GenAI can add real value in banking, with proper security and governance.
Set the engineering and API standards that teams follow.
Review technical risk and effort estimates when proposals are being put together.
Coach architects and senior engineers.
