Job summary

Apple's IS&T Enterprise Technology Services is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and deploy highly scalable, low-latency distributed systems handling petabytes of data and millions of transactions per hour.

You will architect features, develop data-service applications, and maintain the platform while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Java/J2EE stack.
• 4+ years building integration platforms.
• Experience building highly scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL.
• Experience with Couchbase, Redis, MongoDB.
• Unix/Linux proficiency.
• Proactive problem solver with good communication.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design new features for scalable platforms.
• Develop applications around data services and petabyte-scale data.
• Evaluate technologies and integrate suitable tools into projects.
• Operate and maintain the existing platform.
