Job summary

Apple Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Backend Software Engineer within Enterprise Technology Services to design, develop and optimize highly scalable, low-latency distributed systems.

You will work on petabyte-scale data and millions of transactions per hour, shaping architecture and delivering robust platforms in a fast-paced environment. Strong Java/J2EE, SQL/NoSQL, and Unix/Linux skills are required, with REST/SOAP/gRPC exposure; cloud familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Java/J2EE stack.
• 4+ years of experience building integration platforms.
• Expertise with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and SQL.
• Expertise with NoSQL databases (Couchbase, Redis, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux.
• Self-motivation and strong judgment in incomplete information.
• Good leadership and project management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver.
