Job summary

Capgemini Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Backend Engineer to build high-performance systems in eCommerce and financial services, using modern microservices architectures. You’ll work on scalable backend services and contribute across the SDLC to production systems at scale.

We’re looking for 3–7 years in backend development with strong Java and OO design, Spring Boot or similar frameworks, REST APIs, microservices, and SQL. CI/CD exposure and a focus on quality will be valued in an Agile team.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of backend development experience.
• Strong foundation in Java and object-oriented design.
• Experience with Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and SQL databases.
• Exposure to CI/CD, testing frameworks, and code quality tools.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based architectures.
• Write clean, testable code with a focus on quality and maintainability.
• Contribute to automated testing (unit & integration).
• Collaborate in an Agile team environment.
• Troubleshoot and improve live systems to ensure reliability.
