The ideal candidate has 5 years of professional backend experience, strong SQL, REST/OpenAPI, and OSS integration. This role is a 1-year contract based in the heart of Singapore's CBD.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience in web application development using Java and Spring in a micro-service architecture.
• Proficiency in API development (REST) with OpenAPI specifications, ORM frameworks, and database design.
• Ability to analyze trade-offs and make informed software design decisions.
• Advanced SQL knowledge with complex queries.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit).
• Ability to design system architectures and evaluate/integrate OSS.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, scalable backend services and APIs using Java/Spring Boot.
• Translate complex business requirements into robust technical designs and efficient code.
• Participate in full web app development lifecycle, including architecture design, middleware selection, release, and operations.
• Propose new technologies to improve system architecture and development efficiency.
