Job summary

Julius Baer is seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Singapore. The role focuses on core Java, Spring Boot, and building scalable financial platforms. The contract runs for 12 months with an external agency payroll provider.

You will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs, ensure data integrity and security, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive Java development experience with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Strong backend skills including APIs, data integrity and security.
• Experience with Unix and bash scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality software solutions for financial products.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, Spring Boot.
• Integrate with third-party services and ensure secure data flow.
• Maintain code quality with reviews, tests, and CI/CD practices.
• Troubleshoot issues across development and production environments.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into specs.
• Demonstrate regulatory and risk-management responsibilities.
