Job summary

SHIELD AI TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to drive backend design and implementation for scalable systems in Singapore. You will work in an Agile environment, contributing to architecture decisions, performance tuning and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires strong Go experience, a foundation in CS concepts, and the ability to optimize large-scale services. Frontend exposure is a plus and continuous learning is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in back-end web development.
• Degree in CS, Software Eng, IT or related fields.
• Strong CS knowledge in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience in MySQL, MongoDB and other relational/NoSQL databases.
• Expert in distributed systems design and architecture with performance and scaling focus.
• Ready to work with Go, with experience in C++, Node.js or Python.
• Passionate about innovating and learning new skills and technology.
• Proficient in monitoring tools and crisis management for recovery.
• Frontend knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and code using GO language to enhance availability and scalability.
• Explore new design/architectures for better backend performance.
• Conduct and participate in code and design reviews to uphold standards.
• Work on service capacity, performance analysis, tuning and optimization.
• Collaborate with product teams to prototype feature specs.
• Develop, analyze and troubleshoot large-scale systems.
• Engage in full-stack performance tuning and optimization.
• Debug and optimize complex enterprise software.
