Capgemini in Singapore is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own the backend systems of a mission-critical Regulatory Licensing Platform. You will design and implement resilient APIs with Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL, while ensuring data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

You’ll manage self-hosted components (EC2, EKS) and automate patching, hardening, and recovery in a highly restricted cloud environment.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of Backend Engineering Experience building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade systems independently.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, especially networking (VPC), IAM, and secure data patterns.
• Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript and relational database design (PostgreSQL).
• Strong Linux administration and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.

Responsabilidades

• Own backend systems from greenfield development through to production.
• Develop resilient APIs using Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL with secure data patterns.
• Automate patching, hardening, and recovery for self-hosted components (EC2, EKS).
• Define and monitor metrics, dashboards, and alerts; implement robust observability.
