Job summary

QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Engineer with at least six years of experience to join our team in Singapore.

You will drive hands-on development and scaling of high‑performance transactional systems, ensuring reliability, and contributing to a high‑standard codebase. You will mentor juniors through peer reviews, collaborate with product and architecture teams, and help to optimize deployments and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficient in C# and .NET Core.
• Experience with at least one other backend language.
• Strong knowledge of multi-threading, async programming, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms and MSSQL performance tuning.

• Write clean, high-quality code using .NET 10/Core and a secondary backend language.
• Optimize system performance and database queries to handle high‑concurrency traffic.
• Perform thorough code reviews and advocate for engineering best practices and technical standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues to ensure high availability and stability.
• Support junior team members through technical guidance and sharing domain expertise.
• Collaborate with product and architecture teams to refine technical specifications and project scope.
• Contribute to the automation of deployment pipelines and system monitoring.
