Job summary

ELLIOTT MOSS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with deep experience in financial derivatives and enterprise backend systems.

You will design high-performance backend services, APIs, and microservices for derivatives trading, pricing, risk, and post-trade workflows, and mentor junior engineers while partnering with traders and quantitative teams. This role requires collaborating across risk, operations, and platforms to deliver scalable, real-time solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience in finance.
• Experience with scalable, enterprise-grade backend systems.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, and data modeling.
• Experience in investment banking or capital markets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend services, APIs, and microservices for derivatives trading, pricing, risk, and post-trade workflows.
• Build and optimize data models for trades, positions, cashflows, lifecycle events, and complex financial instruments.
• Develop solutions supporting Vanilla Options, Option Strategies, OTC Derivatives, and Structured Products.
• Implement trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, validation, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Integrate with market data feeds, trading platforms, risk systems, exchanges, and clearing houses.
• Develop real-time event-driven solutions for pricing, risk calculations, and trade processing.
• Collaborate with traders, risk managers, business analysts, and quantitative teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and best practices.
