You will bridge engineering with trading and risk domains, translating business logic into scalable backend architectures. The role requires 10+ years of professional software development and hands-on derivatives expertise in a financial services setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with proven backend expertise.
• 3-5 years hands-on experience in derivatives domain (trading systems, risk, pricing, post-trade).
• Direct experience with derivatives products: Vanilla Options, Option Strategies, OTC Derivatives, Structured Products.
• Experience in financial services, banking, or capital markets environments; knowledge of tier-1 institutions valued.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale production systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve relational, transactional, and time-series data models for complex financial instruments and lifecycle events.
• Design and optimize database schemas for derivatives products, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Model complex financial state machines and instrument hierarchies for scalable backend systems.
• Build high-throughput backend APIs and microservices for pricing, booking, lifecycle management, risk, and reporting workflows.
• Develop RESTful/gRPC APIs for integration with trading platforms, market data feeds, and risk systems.
• Implement event-driven architectures for real-time trade processing and risk calculations.
