The successful candidate will provide operational support and manage critical database systems, implementing best practices for compliance and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in database administration; minimum 3 years in AWS and RDS environments.
• 3–5 years managing SQL-based databases in enterprise or government contexts.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for connectivity and performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support production and nonproduction AWS cloud databases.
• Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures.
• Ensure databases comply with encryption standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams for user/vendor coordination.
• Monitor database performance and address tuning requirements.
