Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead the design and implementation of PLC, robotics, vision, and motion control solutions for diverse industrial applications.

You will manage projects from concept through commissioning, develop system architectures, optimize equipment performance, and provide technical leadership to customers, suppliers, and regional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Mechatronics, Electrical, Control Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in automation, motion control or machine builder industries.
Strong hands-on experience in PLC programming, robotics, motion control, servo systems and industrial automation.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of automation and motion control solutions using PLC, Robotics, Vision and Motion technologies.
Manage automation projects from solution design through commissioning and completion.
Develop system architecture, review electrical designs and select control system components.
Optimise PLC, Motion, Vision, Robot, AGV and Servo systems to improve productivity and reliability.
Analyse equipment performance, troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvements.
Provide technical leadership, customer consultation and solution presentations.
Collaborate with Sales, HQ, suppliers and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
Mentor junior engineers and recommend new automation technologies.
