Job summary

PM Group is seeking a Senior Automation & Instrumentation Engineer in Singapore to lead automation and instrumentation design across pharmaceutical and data centre projects. The role covers conceptual, front-end and detailed design activities with vendors and site teams.

Responsibilities include delivering automation deliverables, supporting construction, and ensuring compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP v5.0. Strong communication and multi-discipline collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience with Automation/Control systems (SCADA/DCS/Delta-V/PLC).
• Experience from Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, biotech or food/nutrition sectors preferred.
• Must have experience in multi-discipline design environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Provide technical support to site-based engineers during construction.

• Prepare FDS for building services and process control; ensure 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP v5.0 compliance.

Job description

PM Group is currently looking to hire a Senior Automation & Instrumentation Engineer that will be responsible for the automation and instrumentation design, including conceptual, front-end and detailed design activities across Pharmaceutical & Data Centre projects in Singapore.

Your day-to-day role would involve the following activities:

• Input Automation information into process design
• Interact with automation vendors including technical preparation of vendor bid documents and technical bid analysis
• Review of automation deliverables prepared by vendors
• Provide technical support to site-based engineers during construction phase of a project.
• Work closely with the Lead Engineer/Project Manager and/or Department Manager, establish the project design and execution requirements
• Carry out site visits / site surveys
• Attend project design team meetings and project review meetings
• Input into concept and basic design reports
• Preparation of automation and instrumentation deliverables
• Functional design specification (FDS)- building services and process control
• Support routine operations for automation aspects such as SCADA, HMI, User administration in compliance with
• I/O Schedule- building services and process
• 21CFR part 11 and GAMP v5.0 Compliance Strategy
• Instrumentation deliverables including Loop sheets
• Instrument index
• Instrument datasheets/specifications & Instrument wiring diagrams
• General E&I specification for equipment

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• At least 10 years of experience with Automation/Control systems such as SCADA/DCS/Delta-V/PLC
• Experience from Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, biotech or food / nutritional sectors would be highly preferred
• Must have experience in project deliverable production in a multi discipline design environment
• Have ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
