Job summary

BOB LOW & CO is seeking a Senior Audit Associate / Audit Associate in Singapore. The role involves understanding client business risks, performing engagement tasks under supervision, and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.

You will document procedures and assist with complex accounting issues, tax compliance and corporate secretarial support. The position offers exposure to advisory work in insolvency and corporate rescue, with a focus on quality and professional growth within a CBD

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or Business (major in Accountancy) from recognized local/overseas university, or Accountancy qualification (ACCA/CPA).
• Min 1 year of relevant audit experience in mid-sized firms.

Responsibilities

• Know your client’s business and key risks.
• Execute assigned engagement tasks under supervision.
• Perform assurance engagements in line with professional standards.
• Document audit procedures clearly and accurately.
• Identify and propose solutions to significant accounting/auditing issues.
• Review information accompanying the assurance report per framework.
• Handle ad-hoc duties as assigned.
• Support Tax Compliance, accounting, corporate secretarial and advisory work as applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit & Assurance

• · Know your client’s business and key risks
• · Execute assigned engagement-related tasks under supervision
• · Perform assurance engagement in compliance with professional standards (e.g. complianceassurance test on corporate entitles)
• · Clearly and accurately document the execution of specific audit procedures as definedby the engagement objectives, audit client's engagement history, and plannedaudit approach
• · Identify and propose solutions to significant accounting and auditing issues
• · Review information accompanying the assurance report in accordance with applicableframework
• · Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• ·A degree in Accountancy or Business (major inAccountancy) from recognized local/ overseas university, or AccountancyProfessional Qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA Australia). Candidates doing the last paper of their professional qualifications would be considered.
• ·Minimum 1 year’s relevant work experience in the audit field, with established mid-sized firms
• ·Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Singapore Standard of Auditing
• ·Familiarity with usage of accounting software, ISCA Auditing Programme, and Singapore Corporate Income Tax will be highly advantageous.
• ·Familiar with CCH ProSystem fx software for AISolution.
