Job summary

CTBC Bank, Singapore Branch is seeking an experienced Financial Accounting professional to support MIS/financial reporting in compliance with Singapore and international standards. You will assist the Team Head in ensuring accurate and complete reporting across weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.

The role involves coordinating with PB business units, preparing performance reports, forecasts and annual budgets, and migrating Avaloq-related processes while maintaining timely statutory

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting knowledge.
• Knowledge of SAP, FCC system, and AVALOQ.
• Understanding of Banking Products and their accounting treatments.
• Knowledge of IFRS/FRS in Singapore and income tax implications.
• PC skills, especially Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Interpersonal and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IPB Financial Performance figures (revenue, AuM, NNA) on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
• Prepare weekly loans and deposits EOP balance reports for the CEO.
• Prepare weekly IPB loans and deposits averages, spread and RORAC to BU for target tracking.
• Perform value-added analyses to support the presentation for BU weekly meetings.
• Bi-Monthly forecast of PB Financial Performance for submission to Management/FICON.
• Streamline the PB reporting process for accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare CPM File – Fees / T&O revenue/ Misc Revenue/ T&E OPEX to support monthly RM performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and PB business units providing inputs and advice.
• Be main contact for PB businesses addressing queries.
• Prepare PowerPoint slides to support the FICON presentation.
• Assist in Yearly Budget and 5-year forecast for PB and bank-wide OPEX/CAPEX disclosures.
• Assist in Avaloq migration for PB HKWM & SGWM segments and other ad-hoc PB Projects.
• Handle ad-hoc finance & accounting tasks as assigned by supervisor.

JOB PURPOSE:

Assist Team Head of Financial Accounting in ensuring all MIS/Financial reporting is in compliance with the Singapore/International Financial Reporting Standards and applicable tax regulations. All MIS/Financial reporting is accurate and complete

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Daily/Weekly

• Prepare IPB Financial Performance including revenue, AuM and NNA (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly)
• Preparation of weekly loans and deposits EOP balance to Singapore Branch’s CEO.
• Preparation of weekly IPB loans and deposits Average balance /Spread/ RORAC to BU for tracking against the target plan.

Monthly

• Bi-Monthly forecast of PB Financial Performance for submission to Management/ FICON in accordance with stipulated timeline.
• Streamline the PB reporting process to prepare the required reports efficiently and accurately
• Preparation of CPM File – Fees / T&O revenue/ Misc Revenue/ T&E OPEX to support monthly RM performance
• To work closely with relevant stakeholders and partnering PB business units by providing value-added inputs and advice.
• To work closely with relevant stakeholders and Business partner to Business Units by providing value-added inputs and advises, main contact person for PB businesses in addressing their queries.

Quarterly

• Prepare the power-point slides to support the FICON presentation during the quarterly PB meeting.

Annually

• To assist in the Yearly Budget and 5-year forecast for PB, and support the preparation of bank-wide budget for the OPEX and CAPEX
• To assist in preparing the relevant disclosures of Annual Financial Statements
• To assist in migration of Avaloq for PB HKWM & SGWM segments and other ad-hocPB Projects without any hiccups or show-stopper
• To assist in any other ad-hoc projects driven by Finance & Accounting Team
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the superior from time to time.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Strong Financial accounting knowledge skills
• Knowledge and understanding of the SAP, FCC system, and AVALOQ
• Knowledge and understanding of Banking Products, and their accounting treatments
• Knowledge and understanding of Regulatory, International Financial Reporting Standards, Financial Reporting Standards in Singapore (‘FRSs’), and internal management reporting requirements and Singapore Income Tax Implication.
