Nanyang Technological University invites a senior leader to head Nanyang Executive Education’s Public Programmes. You will drive business development, oversee client relationships and shape learning offerings to meet market needs.

The role requires a proven revenue-generation track record in executive education or consulting, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across faculties and with external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years of experience in executive education, L&D, or consulting.
• Proven track record in generating revenue through business development, sales, and bids.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong business acumen with ability to develop client proposals in leadership and management training.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development for NEE’s Public Programmes.
• Perform market analyses: market research, competitor landscape, segmentation, and growth trends.
• Form strategic actions to grow the NEE portfolio aligned with NTU directions.
• Serve existing clients and acquire new ones to expand the pipeline.
• Collaborate with faculty to craft learning proposals and programmes to address training needs.
• Ensure high client satisfaction and build trusted client relationships.
• Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders for mutually beneficial collaborations.
• Identify stakeholder issues and engage appropriately.
• Assist in new corporate initiatives to enhance processes and client experience.

The candidate will be leading Nanyang Executive Education’s Public Programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

• To take ownership and lead business development efforts in the Public programmes

• To understand the executive education market, and perform analyses e.g. market research, competitor landscape, segmentation, growth trends, value proposition etc and make strategy recommendations

• To think strategically and to analyse and synthesize information into strategic actions as part of growing the NEE portfolio, in alignment with NBS/NEE overall business direction

• To service existing clients, in addition to adding new clients, as part of growing the pipeline and portfolio

• To work with closely with faculty to create learning proposals and programmes, through putting together information and persuasive ideas, that will meet manpower training needs and requirements

• To ensure high levels of client satisfaction as well as build trusted relationships with clients

• To grow strong relationship with key stakeholders, both internal and external, and find mutually beneficial ways of collaboration

• To identify and contextualize internal and external stakeholder issues and engage appropriately

• To assist in new corporate initiative development that will lead to better corporate processes and client experience

Competencies and Qualification Requirements:

• A good bachelor’s degree, with at least 10 years’ working experience, preferably in the executive education, L&D department of an organization, or in consulting.

• A proven revenue-generation track record through business development, sales and bidding management

• Ability to work independently, as well as inter-dependently, within a team, and across teams

• Customer-oriented disposition, with excellent interpersonal skills, and to be able to work with all levels

• Good business acumen, with ability to develop proposals for clients in the areas of leadership and business management training

• Self-starter and problem-solver, who is adaptable to a changing environment, and is able to proactively address any challenges that may arise

• Excellent written, oral, presentation and facilitation skills

• Displays leadership skills and takes interest in nurturing and coaching junior members of the team
