Job summary

JEET ANALYTICS PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Application Developer with 10+ years in Life Insurance to support core application development, system enhancements, data migration and production support.

You will design, develop and maintain Life Insurance apps on AS/400, configure products and rules, and develop REST APIs and integrations. Strong SDLC and Agile experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a computing field or related discipline.
• 10+ years in application development or systems analysis in Life Insurance.
• Hands-on AS/400 and COBOL/400/CL/400 experience and familiarity with LIFE400/GROUP400.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Design, develop and maintain core Life Insurance applications on AS/400.
• Configure insurance products, riders, and rules; support product launches.
• Develop REST APIs, MQ integrations; support data migration activities.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer with 10+ years of experience in the Life Insurance domain to support core insurance application development, system enhancements, product configuration, data migration and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze and document business requirements from business users, Business Analysts and stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into detailed Functional Specifications (FS) and Technical Specifications (TS).
• Perform requirement analysis, gap analysis, impact assessment and solution design for insurance application enhancements.
• Design, develop and maintain core Life Insurance applications using AS/400, LIFE400, GROUP400, COBOL/400 and CL/400.
• Configure and enhance insurance products, riders, benefits, claims rules, premium calculations and business rules.
• Support end-to-end product launches, system modernization and application enhancement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain database programs and queries using DB2/400 and SQL/400.
• Support data migration activities including source-to-target mapping, data validation, transformation and reconciliation.
• Develop and support REST API and system integration solutions.
• Work with MQ and other integration components for enterprise application interfaces.
• Coordinate coding, unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Perform code reviews, defect analysis, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Provide L2/L3 production support and resolve application incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Support production deployments, data fixes, system upgrades and post-production stabilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, developers, QA teams and business stakeholders.
• Maintain technical documentation, application specifications and operational procedures.
• Work in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as JIRA, Confluence and ServiceNow.

• 10+ years of experience in Application Development / Systems Analysis.
• Strong experience in theLife Insurance domain.
• Hands-on experience withAS/400 / IBM i environments.
• Strong experience inCOBOL/400 and CL/400.
• Experience withLIFE400 / GROUP400 / Smart/400or similar insurance administration platforms.
• StrongDB2/400 and SQL/400experience.
• Experience in insurance product configuration and core insurance application enhancement.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in requirements gathering and Functional/Technical Specification documentation.
• Hands-on experience with SIT/UAT and production support.
• Experience in data migration, data mapping and validation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
