Job summary

adecco personnel pte ltd seeks a Senior Business Analyst (AML) to enhance customer and payment watchlist screening using Python and data analytics. The role involves data preparation, investigation, rule design, backtesting and stakeholder recommendations across Compliance, Technology, and Operations.

You will lead data-driven improvements, validating implementations and supporting regulatory RFIs, with an emphasis on accuracy, controls, and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and data analysis for large datasets.
• Experience in financial crime risk domain and watchlist screening.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, name-matching, and screening concepts.

Responsibilities

• Extract, parse, cleanse, transform and analyse screening data using Python.
• Backtest enhancements to screening coverage, rules, thresholds and parameters.
• Raise and track Jira items documenting scope and requirements for implementation.
• Validate technology implementation via UAT, parallel-run, and post-implementation analysis.
• Monitor screening changes for effectiveness and generate analytical reports.
• Provide SME guidance on rules, thresholds and tuning to stakeholders.
• Support regulatory RFIs with targeted data extraction and analysis.
