Job summary

ADECCO Personnel Pte Ltd is partnering with a leading bank to hire a Senior Data Analyst (AML). The role involves hands-on data analytics using Python to enhance customer and payment watchlist screening, with backtesting and rule design.

The position covers data preparation, investigation, stakeholder communication, and regulatory RFI support, with a 4-month contract at MBFC in Singapore. Strong AML/CFT knowledge and 8–10 years of relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python with large-scale data analysis experience.
• Practical experience in customer or payment screening and AML/CFT knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field with 8–10 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of watchlist screening, exact & fuzzy matching, thresholds.
• Analytical, communicative, and able to influence stakeholders; independent work.
• Experience with relational databases and data warehouses; big-data environments.
• Desirable: Jira or similar delivery tools; data pipelines & ETL knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Extract, parse, cleanse, transform and analyse large screening data with Python.
• Design and backtest screening coverage, rules and thresholds; present options.
• Raise and track Jira items; document requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Validate implementation via UAT, parallel-run and post-implementation analysis.
• Monitor changes; review effectiveness and propose tuning or improvements.
• Act as SME for customer and payment screening; guidance on rules and thresholds.
• Support audit and regulatory RFIs with targeted data extraction and analysis.
