Job summary

OCBC is seeking a Vice President for AML Advisory in Singapore to lead a team delivering expert guidance on AML policies and regulatory requirements to GCFS Business Units. You will drive embedding AML controls into business processes to ensure full regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with 2LoD, internal audit, legal, and regulators, along with mentorship of the team and ongoing improvements to the AML framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 8 years of AML or related regulatory compliance experience in financial services or banking.
• Proven AML advisory and compliance support experience to business units within a large financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of global AML regulations and regulatory expectations.
• Experience collaborating with 2LoD, internal audit, legal and regulators.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical controls and processes.
• Track record leading or supporting AML advisory, risk assessments, policy development, and training.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of AML Advisory in leading the team to deliver high-quality advisory services on AML policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with 2LoD to interpret AML regulations and provide practical guidance for compliance and risk management.
• Partner with Business Units to design and embed AML controls into processes aligning with regulatory standards.
• Monitor changes in AML laws and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Contribute to AML policy development, procedures, and training materials.
• Facilitate AML risk assessments and assist in risk mitigation.
• Liaise with internal audit, legal, and regulators during AML reviews and examinations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the AML framework.
• Mentor and develop team members; act as escalation point in absence of Head.
