Job summary

OpenAI is hiring for a Senior User Operations role based in Singapore with a hybrid work model (3 days in office). You will interact with customers via tickets and Slack, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with Sales, Technical Success, Product, and Engineering to scale our support team in the new AI world.

Fluency in English is required; a strong background in SaaS support and Python scripting is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in user operations, technical support, or support engineering in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency with emerging tech to script/engineer solutions (Python or similar).
• SaaS troubleshooting expertise with ability to grasp new tech quickly.
• Ability to identify root causes and drive process improvements.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid learning.
• Proven track record building customer relationships cross-functionally.
• Humility, willingness to help others, ownership mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with prioritization.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers, solving complex problems and educating on platform use.
• Be among the foremost experts on OpenAI products, even where AI lacks the answer.
• Act as last line of defense before Product and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Use scripting and AI capabilities to automate recurring tasks and improve tooling.
• Translate learnings into scalable approaches with product and GTM teams.
• Drive improvements to operations and scale the support organization.
• Foster a supportive and productive culture within User Operations.
• Provide on-call and holiday/weekend coverage as needed.
