Job summary

GovTech Singapore is building the AI Programme: shared AI infrastructure that agencies can run in production, including an agent surface, a developer platform, and a model/capability layer with OpenAI-compatible APIs and guardrails. You will work across surfaces officers see, the runtime beneath them, and the platform teams that onboard agencies, keeping costs and security in check.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the surfaces officers use daily: streaming, approval interrupts, resumable sessions.
• Build the runtime beneath them: tool orchestration, approval gates enforced in code, loop limits, per-turn tool filtering, memory and checkpointing.
• Work on the platform half: onboarding teams, MCP servers, skills and models, with policy checks and promotion workflows.
• Extend shared capability APIs (speech, vision, document extraction) to keep them fast and cheap.
• Integrate with government systems: identity, mail and calendar, document stores, line-of-business systems, CI/CD pipelines.
• Instrument the things you'll want to argue about later: tool call traces, latency, error taxonomies, cost per team and per feature.
• Build evaluation into delivery: making prompt/tool/model changes a measurable decision.
• Run deployments, incidents, capacity, cost, and support queue of officers.
• Collaborate with agency teams as users and builders to turn bespoke requests into platform features.
• Take part in security and privacy reviews assuming audits.
