Job summary

The Centre of Excellence in Maritime Safety (CEMS) invites applications for a role in the AI & Software team to develop digital solutions for advanced simulator training and assessment. You will contribute to training pedagogy and support digitalisation across R&D, operations, and education.

The role involves leading projects across the SDLC, deploying AI components, and collaborating with industry partners to build scalable APIs and reusable libraries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Production-grade software development experience.
• Experience with RESTful API design using modern frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in C#, C++, Java, or Python.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab and CI/CD practices.
• Docker experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with industry partners and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the AI team to deploy and integrate AI solutions into simulation platforms.
• Work with third-party simulator providers to design reusable code libraries and scalable APIs.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and refactor code for maintainability and scalability.
• Contribute to new R&D projects aligned with strategic objectives.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns in software development best practices.
• Deliver regular project updates and technical presentations to leadership.
