Job summary

Bitdeer in Singapore seeks a senior distributed systems engineer to design and optimize scheduling stacks for multi-node AI workloads, leveraging Kubernetes frameworks, GPUs, and high-speed interconnects to scale HPC clusters.

You will mentor engineers, implement admission control and multi-tenant policies, and collaborate with hardware/storage teams to ensure low-latency, reliable operation in production cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of distributed systems engineering with Kubernetes scheduling experience.
• Strong track record in AI workloads and distributed training frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced batch scheduling architectures for multi-node AI workloads.
• Develop cluster-wide admission control and high-volume job queuing mechanisms.
• Leverage DRA and custom scheduler plugins for accelerator requests.
• Architect topology-aware pod placement for low-latency communication (NVLink/InfiniBand).
• Implement GPU sharing technologies and multi-tenancy isolation to maximize utilization.
• Collaborate with GPU Systems and Storage teams to integrate scheduling with bare-metal hardware and I/O patterns.
• Drive reliability and scalability of the scheduling stack in large HPC environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.
