Job summary

GIC seeks a Senior AI Engineer to anchor the core AI platform, owning the agent runtime architecture, durable state management, and scalable multi-step workflows across the enterprise.

You will collaborate across gateway, memory, observability, and IAM, enabling dozens of teams to deploy secure AI agents at enterprise scale, while driving architecture decisions and production-readiness from day one.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software/platform engineering, with 3+ years in AI/ML infrastructure or agentic systems at scale.
• Deep distributed-systems expertise with state management, fault tolerance, concurrency.
• Production agentic systems experience with multi-step workflows and non-deterministic behaviours.
• Durable execution mastery with workflow engines (Temporal preferred).
• Python mastery for production services (FastAPI/gRPC).
• Experience with agent frameworks (LangGraph/CrewAI/OpenAI Agents SDK).
• LLM integration at scale with model routing and structured output parsing.
• Strong system design leadership and API contract development.
• Experience with containers, orchestration, IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS) including EKS, SageMaker, Lambda.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technical direction for the agent runtime and related distributed systems.
• Operate agentic workflows at scale with reliability and performance under latency budgets.
• Collaborate with SRE and platform teams to embed resilience and observability patterns.
• Evaluate and extend agent frameworks and build abstraction layers for portability.
• Design memory and state layers for long-term agent learning and continuity.
• Contribute to early-stage buildout of a new AI platform with production-readiness.
• Mentor engineers and uphold high standards for design, testing, and documentation.
