Job summary

SURBANA JURONG CONSULTANTS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced AI-focused software engineer to drive design, build and production delivery of AI-enabled applications for core business lines in Singapore.

You will own the full software lifecycle, integrate LLM APIs, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation, and deploy secure cloud solutions. Strong Python, REST APIs and containerisation are required, with frontend skills a bonus.

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping production software in real environments.
• Strong Python proficiency with REST APIs, cloud deployment and containerisation.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and retrieval/vector databases.
• Understanding of software architecture, testing practices and production operations.
• Bonus for frontend experience (React/TypeScript) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end AI-powered applications including pipelines and UI.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Integrate LLM APIs, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Evaluate AI models and production performance.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, observability, and secure cloud deployment.
• Contribute reusable components and standards to the AI platform.
• Collaborate with business teams and AI PMs to communicate progress and risks.
