Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, AI, OR or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or software engineering for production systems.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Infrastructure as code on at least one major cloud platform.
• Experience deploying apps in cloud/on-prem environments using Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, API development and system design.
• Familiar with PyTest and unit/integration testing.

Senior AI Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer with strong experience in AI/ML engineering, production software development and deployment, ideally within supply chain or retail environments.

In this role, you will build scalable, modular and production-ready AI solutions to address complex supply chain challenges. You will also contribute to system architecture, engineering best practices and technical mentorship within a high-impact engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop modular, portable and production-ready software deployable across major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premise environments.

• Re-architect existing systems to translate complex business and retail requirements into scalable, reusable software components.

• Build AI-driven systems that integrate machine learning models into reliable, scalable business applications.

• Design and implement software architecture, microservices and APIs to support system scalability and maintainability.

• Establish and improve engineering practices, including coding standards, CI/CD, DevOps and MLOps workflows.

• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance to team members and promote engineering excellence.

• Ensure software meets security, performance, reliability and maintainability standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research or a related field.

• At least 4 years of experience in AI/ML engineering or software engineering, with a focus on building and deploying production systems.

• Proficiency in Python and experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB).

• Hands-on experience deploying infrastructure as code on at least one major cloud platform.

• Experience deploying applications in cloud and on-premise environments using Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API development and system design.

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest and tools for unit and integration testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying AI/ML models into production environments.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect or Ray.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau or Holistics.
• Experience in supply chain AI applications, including inventory optimisation, demand forecasting or retail analytics.
