Job summary

SP Group is seeking a Principal Engineer, AI‑Driven Software Delivery to shape how SP Digital Engineering builds, tests and delivers software in the AI era. This hands‑on technical leadership role focuses on improving developer productivity, software quality and delivery confidence through AI‑assisted engineering practices and automated quality controls.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering, platform engineering or technology delivery.
Proven experience defining and implementing engineering practices, delivery standards and reusable platforms at scale.
Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools, coding assistants and automated delivery in governed environments.
Experience in enterprise technology organisations or consulting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the AI‑driven software delivery strategy, roadmap and engineering standards across SP Digital Engineering.
Establish guardrails for secure, traceable and maintainable AI‑assisted delivery with appropriate reviews.
Develop playbooks, reference architectures and automation patterns for consistent adoption of AI practices.
Lead hands‑on architecture reviews, prototyping, coding, testing and troubleshooting.
Mentor engineers and lead cross‑functional initiatives with Engineering, Product, Architecture and Cyber Security.
