At SAP, you will work as a Senior AI Developer - Product Owner, partnering with AI engineers, dev‑ops, and product teams to build AI products for SAP.

What You'll Do

• Own, create, prioritise and maintain the backlog, and shape the roadmap with the Area Product Owner, engineering, and Product Manager.
• Act as a hands‑on technical product owner, driving the product roadmap, priority coordination, product definition, implementation, and delivery lifecycle.
• Explore, understand, and implement the latest technologies for cloud platforms and data pipelines.
• Make decisions about in‑house developments, purchases, or partnerships on a product level.
• Handle multi‑tenant and multi‑micro‑service environments.
• Ensure product delivery:
  • Prioritise and describe the product backlog.
  • Deliver high‑quality specifications and products that meet customer and user requirements.
  • Validate scope across the entire product lifecycle, including non‑coded assets.
• Collaborate with release management, production, and governance teams.
• Integrate feedback from customers and product management.
• Maintain product until a potential handover.
• Contribute to process improvement and efficiency.
• Work in global teams across time zones.
• Adapt quickly to new topics, terminology, and tasks.
• Work with SAP BTP, Gen AI, conversational experiences, and related SAP systems such as SuccessFactors and S4.

What You Bring

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (Master's an advantage).
• 7+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Knowledge in Java/Spring Boot, micro‑service‑based product design, architecture and development.
• At least 2 years of product‑management experience.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP BTP; managing AI or related technology projects is a plus.
• Understanding of project‑management principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to collaborate.

Preferred

• Passion for machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cloud‑native services.
• Domain expertise in digital assistants like Joule.
• Knowledge of bot‑building platforms.
• Experience with agents, knowledge graph, RAG, large language models.
