Job summary

Helius Technologies is seeking a hands-on Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work with tenant teams, discovering business needs and delivering AI-driven automation. You will own the lifecycle from discovery to handover, blending business process analysis with backend engineering, cloud infrastructure and AI agent development.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language; Python preferred.
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure knowledge covering compute, networking and IAM.
• Working knowledge of containerisation and orchestration in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Practical understanding of LLM application development and AI workflow controls.
• Ability to independently conduct requirements gathering and process discovery with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience documenting as-is and to-be processes and translating them into technical designs.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting and delivery ownership.
• Understanding of security constraints affecting data movement and AI deployment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery sessions with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities.
• Document workflows using BPMN, swim-lane diagrams, data flow diagrams.
• Translate business needs into technical designs and blueprints.
• Design agentic workflows with triggers, decision logic and tool integrations.
• Build AI solutions within secure, air-gapped environments.
• Develop production code in Python or other backend languages.
• Create REST API integrations and event-driven workflows.
• Provision and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and containerised workloads.
• Apply CI/CD, infrastructure as code and security controls during delivery.
• Prepare handovers so tenant teams can operate solutions independently.
