Job summary

FIRMUS METAL INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Senior AI Engineer (Agents & Applications) to design, build, and operate production-grade agentic systems coordinating AI factory workflows.

This role supports the Model-to-Grid product, integrating models, inference endpoints, benchmarks, and operational data into safe, explainable pipelines. The engineer will define architectures for single- and multi-agent systems, build orchestration workflows, and develop agent capabilities across

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years building AI/ML applications.
• Demonstrated experience delivering LLM-powered, agentic, retrieval-augmented, decision-support, or operational-automation applications into production.
• Strong Python expertise, including experience with FastAPI or comparable API frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with one or more agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Microsoft AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, PydanticAI, Haystack, or DSPy.
• Proven ability to build custom agent orchestration with state machines, graph-based execution, durable workflows, and human-approval flows.
• Experience with workflow/orchestration technologies (Temporal, Dagster, Prefect, Airflow, Argo, Kubernetes Jobs, Celery).
• Understanding of multi-agent architectures and evaluation patterns.
• Experience with vector databases and search platforms (pgvector, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Milvus, Weaviate, Pinecone, Qdrant, Neo4j).
• Familiarity with self-hosted and managed LLM inference, model routing, embeddings, and tool calling.
• Knowledge of cloud-native AI platforms (Kubernetes, GPUs, observability, runbooks).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate agentic applications supporting AI factory planning, commissioning, validation, and continuous improvement.
• Define reference architectures for single-agent, multi-agent, workflow-based, and human-in-the-loop systems.
• Build orchestration workflows using frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and others listed in the job scope.
• Develop agent capabilities for retrieval, tool use, memory, safety controls, and human approvals.
