Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as backend or full-stack engineer.
• At least 2 years building applied AI features used by real users.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs including prompt design and semantic search.
• Understanding retrieval-augmented generation concepts and when to use them.
• Security-minded engineering with OWASP and zero-trust principles.

Responsibilities

• Build secure integrations: design and implement API connections to data vaults and legacy systems.
• Embed AI in applications: develop AI-enabled components for digital touchpoints and services.
• Engineer the retrieval layer: embeddings, semantic search, and retrieval pipelines.
• Review vendor AI approaches: ensure accuracy, security, and maintainability.
• Make AI reliable in production: monitoring, guardrails, fallbacks.
• Work across the platform: align AI features with wider architecture.
• Own features end to end: measure usage and refine AI pipelines.
