Job summary

Rio Tinto Commercial Pte. Ltd. seeks a Senior Advisor to coordinate SME readiness for the SAP S/4HANA deployment. This role ensures readiness tasks are completed on time, with close collaboration to Move & Sell Readiness Lead and regional stakeholders.

Reporting to the Manager Move & Sell Readiness, you will plan activities, manage dependencies, and coordinate SME mobilization for the region, including logistics and site requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field.
• Experience in matrix organizations and engaging SMEs.
• Project Management experience.
• Knowledge of commercial or shared services processes: end-to-end Deal to Contract and Order to Cash.
• Hands-on SAP experience.
• Experience coordinating readiness, deployment or transformation with multiple SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Act as day-to-day operational coordinator for Testing, Training, pre- and post-Cutover and Hypercare execution.
• Coordinate SME activities and ensure readiness tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.
• Establish activity plans, trackers and liaise between SMEs and Product Group Readiness Leads.
• Coordinate scheduling for SME activities and manage logistics and dependencies.

In support of successful SAP S/4HANA deployment, the Senior Advisor - Operational and Closure Readiness is responsible for coordinating and enabling Subject Matter Expert (SME) activities for Move & Sell Function, ensuring all Readiness tasks are completed on time and to required quality standards.

This role acts as the day-to-day operational coordinator for successful Testing, Training, pre- and post-Cutover, and Hypercare execution, working closely with Move & Sell Readiness Lead, Regional Change Lead, local site representatives and SMEs (including trainers & testers). The Senior Advisor ensures activities are well planned, locally enabled and effectively tracked, escalating risks, issues and dependencies.

Reporting to the Manager, Move & Sell Readiness, you will:

• Establish and maintain clear activity plans, task lists and trackers for SME deliverables.

• Act as the primary coordination point between SMEs and Product Group Readiness Leads for execution activities.

• Support mobilisation of SMEs for Product Group readiness activities within the region.

• Coordinate scheduling for SME activities ensuring:

• Sessions are planned and sequenced appropriately.

• Logistics (Meeting rooms/technology are available with travel coordinated, if required).

• Local site representatives are engaged so site-specific requirements and constraints are factored into planning.

What you will need for the role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field.

• Working in matrix organization/operational environments, with the confidence to engage SMEs and escalation issues appropriately.

• Project Management experience.

• Commercial Services or Shared Services work experience: understanding end-to-end Deal to Contract and Order to Cash processes

• Hands-on SAP working.

• Experience coordinating readiness, deployment or transformation activities involving multiple SMEs or site-based stakeholders

• Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule and track execution activities, including logistics and dependency management.
