Job summary

Lumilens in Singapore is seeking an experienced Active Alignment Process Engineer to join its high-performance team developing photonics solutions powering next-generation AI infrastructure.

You will own optical active alignment processes, equipment controls, and alignment algorithms for transceiver manufacturing, including epoxy dispensing and curing, with a focus on yield, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with optical active alignment for transceivers or related photonic devices.
• Familiarity with active alignment processes and equipment.
• Experience with equipment buyoff and qualification.
• Knowledge of epoxy dispensing and curing methods.
• Experience with equipment control.
• Experience in fixture design for alignment.
• Proficiency in developing or optimizing alignment algorithms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, physics, optics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize optical active alignment processes for transceiver production.
• Operate, set up, and maintain active alignment equipment, including equipment control and qualification.
• Develop, implement, and optimize alignment algorithms.
• Perform equipment buyoff and equipment qualification activities.
• Oversee epoxy dispensing and curing processes.
• Design and refine fixtures to improve alignment processes.
• Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure high yield and quality in production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment control, alignment processes, and fixtures.
• Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement
