Lumilens is building essential photonics infrastructure for tomorrow’s AI hardware. We are seeking an experienced Active Alignment Process Engineer to lead optical alignment for transceivers, manage equipment control and qualification, and develop alignment algorithms in a high-performance team.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience with optical active alignment for transceivers or related photonic devices.
Familiar with active alignment processes and equipment for optics such as FAU, lens, isolator, PIC chip, etc.
Experience with AA equipment buyoff and qualification.
Knowledge of epoxy dispensing and curing methods.
Experience with equipment control.
Proficiency in developing or optimizing alignment algorithms.

Responsibilities

Lead and optimize optical active alignment processes for transceiver production.
Operate, set up, and maintain active alignment equipment, including equipment control and qualification.
Develop, implement, and optimize alignment algorithms.
Perform equipment buyoff and equipment qualification activities.
Oversee epoxy dispensing and curing processes.
Design and refine fixtures to improve alignment processes.
Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure high yield and quality in production.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment control, alignment processes, and fixtures.
Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement.
