Job summary

ONYX SG PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Accounts Executive to join the finance team on a 1-year contract based in Singapore. The role covers full-set accounting, month-end close with fair value adjustments, prepayments, and asset depreciation, plus management reporting and quarterly consolidation for the parent company. You will also assist with audits and the rollout of CTRM and expense management systems, offering exposure to commodity trading finance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or ACCA/CPA or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with full-set experience.
• Experience with management reporting and monthly P&L analysis, and bank reconciliation.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-set accounting and finance operations.
• Execute month-end closing journals including fair value adjustments, prepayments, and asset depreciation.
• Analyze monthly actual results by commodity for management reporting.
• Prepare quarterly consolidation packages for the parent company.
• Assist with annual financial audit and support the implementation of finance systems (CTRM and expense management).
• Provide independent, detail-oriented accounting support for complex commodity trading financials.

JOB DESCRIPTION

A global metals and mineral trading MNC are currently looking for a Senior Accounts Executive to join their finance team under a 1-year contract.

The Senior Accounts Executive will manage full-set accounting and finance operations, with a strong focus on trade and operating expense transactions. You will execute month-end closing journals, including fair value adjustments, prepayments, and asset depreciation. A key part of this role involves analyzing monthly actual results by commodity for management reporting, as well as preparing quarterly consolidation packages for the parent company.

Additionally, you will assist with the annual financial audit and support the implementation of critical finance systems, including Commodity Trading Risk Management (CTRM) and Expense Management systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an independent and detail-oriented accountant to gain exposure to complex commodity trading financials within a highly established global firm.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a Professional Certificate (ACCA/CPA or equivalent)
• 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with full-set experience
• Experience preparing management reports, financial statements, analyzing monthly P&L results, and bank reconciliation
• Experience with major ERPs such as SAP is advantageous
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience with the commodities industry is preferred
