trust recruit pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage month-end and year-end closing for allocated entities in Singapore.
You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and group policies. You will collaborate with business teams, produce management reports and statutory statements, and support audits, tax submissions, and process improvements using ERP systems like NetSuite.
Independently manage month-end and year-end closing for assigned legal entities.
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, deferrals, account reconciliations and balance sheet schedules.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with group accounting policies and local statutory requirements.
Review revenue and expense accounts and provide meaningful variance analysis.
Work with business and operational teams to understand key financial performance drivers.
Ensure financial records and supporting documentation are accurate, complete and properly maintained.
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of closing and reporting processes.
Prepare and review management reports and statutory financial statements.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate the timely completion of audits and statutory filings.
Support corporate income tax, GST and other regulatory submissions.
Maintain appropriate accounting documentation and audit trails.
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial performance tracking.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
Partner with Operations, Marketing, Human Resources and other internal functions on business initiatives.
Evaluate and implement accounting process improvements using ERP systems, Excel and other automation tools.
Support system enhancements, new business initiatives and legal-entity-related activities when required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including financial closing or entity-level accounting responsibilities.
Sound knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting and applicable accounting standards.
Experience preparing financial statements, account reconciliations and audit schedules.
Familiarity with corporate income tax and GST reporting requirements.
Experience using ERP or financial accounting systems; exposure to NetSuite would be advantageous.
Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA or an equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Able to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
